Grandma & Bumpa's New Years visit

We had such a great New Year's party this year! For the past 14 years we have had a fondue party every New Year's eve to follow the Ferrara tradition. We usually invite friends but this year we didn't get around to it and we were so glad since my mom and dad decided to drive up and visit for a couple of days. The food was amazing and we loved having grandma, bumpa and Genelle here.

My mother has always loved getting her hair brushed. It's better than a massage! My kids have taken it a step further and LOVE giving grandma makeovers. Just when mom gets herself cleaned up and looking "normal" again the girls have to sit her down and fix her up again!! The rest of us just laugh at her. Thanks for being so sweet, mom! You make my girls feel so important! We also enjoyed the tea party. There's nothing like yummy hot chocolate and marshmallows!

I didn't get any pictures of my dad for some reason. I have so many cute pictures of bumpa reading to the kids. They always bring him piles of books because he's so fun to listen to when he reads. He changes all the voices of course and makes the stories so much better than they really are. We did enjoy listening to him do his "poor little fly" story and Mariah even tried to copy. She got embarrassed every time we laughed at her though! I think dad enjoyed watching football on our huge movie theater screen! There's nothing better than seeing all that action bigger than real life!

Genelle is always so good with our kids. She and Akayla are only a couple years apart so they are more like sisters. They like texting and emailing back and forth. Genelle is a fun aunt! She's becoming such a pretty young lady. We loved playing music with you, Genellie!!!

Can't wait to see you guys again! Hopefully next time we'll get the whole family together.
