it's over

School's back in so Fall Break is officially over.

The older 4 kids only got Thursday and Friday of the first week off, but the younger 3 had 2 full weeks off!

I actually like this schedule because it gives me time with my younger kids, and when they are in school during the summer I have more time with my older kids.

We enjoyed our time, and we tried to do something fun every day of our break..... the proof is all on my phone!

I love that I can assign Adriana to pull out the decorations and get the house all ready for Fall.  She has a great talent for making things beautiful!

LEA'S HAIRCUT & 

POTTY TRAINING ADVENTURE

I love waiting to potty train - it takes about 2 days to have them fully trained (as opposed to a full year of struggles & frustration......accidents & constantly having to tell them to go potty!).  Lea has been a breeze!  The 2nd night she even came in to our room at about midnight - we were fast asleep - and turned the lights on to go potty!  I don't mind even a rude awakening like that if she wakes up dry!!

Since it's so cold outside we moved the theater into the garage!  We planned on about 10 or so kids coming and ended up with over 20.  It was too awkward to bring couches out so we pulled out the camping chairs.  Turned out really fun!  They ate doughnuts & hot chocolate, and watched The Burbs (with Tom Hanks)

surprised birthday boy - he doesn't normally dress like that, but Akayla & Ivy made him look silly before they took him to Pizza Pie Cafe.  He's such a good sport!
