The next Donny Osmond?

We've never gotten into American Idol before, but this year my sister (Genelle, age 15) introduced us to David Archuleta. He's an LDS kid from Murray, Utah and he is incredible! We totally love his sweet personality and amazing voice. Of course the girls think he's a cutie so they love him even more! We are rooting for him to win this year! We record American Idol on our DVR and watch it while we fold clothes. I even added his song from last week (Imagine by John Lennon - love that song!) to my playlist, so take a minute and listen. He's great!

This is the second time I've heard about him. We've never really gotten into American Idol but maybe this is the season we should start! Don't you just love a DVR! I love that you fold and watch. We do that too!

I feel so flattered! It's all because of ME that you started watching American Idol! What an honor indeed.

P.S. I think it's a shame that Danny went home, even if he did EXAGGERATE his gayness. Now It's all DAVID!

This is my first year watching American Idol too - where have I been?

We're David A. fans too - he has an amazing voice and is so sweet & humble. We're also rooting for Brooke White who is LDS and from Mesa, AZ.

I found an article about him this morning:

It was no secret that David Archuleta could sing. Students and teachers have heard him belt out holiday carols during spanish class and an opera aria at a school arts festival. None of that was reason enough to believe the junior at Murray, High School would transform from a shy and impish 17- year old to a fast rising star on "American Idol."
"He giggles every time you confront him," Archuleta's 11th grade English teacher Chantel Thackery said. "I can't believe how well he's doing because he's just so painfully shy."
Week after week, Archuleta seems to out-sing the competition on the Top-rated Fox TV show, winning the hearts-and votes- of viewers. "Idol" judge Paula Abdul has said Archuleta is "destined for superstardom."

We have been watching David as well. We also like Brooke because she is a member from Mesa. They both can sing and I hope they both go very far!

Oh my gosh! Did you see Tonight's performance? I felt so bad when he forgot the words, I thought I was gonna die when Simon said it was a mess! AHHHHHHHH!
