Mariah and I have been working on writing letters and numbers during the day. It's funny to watch her because she is ambidextrous. As a baby she would eat with her left hand and do other things with her right hand. She switches hands after each letter. She does the same thing while she eats. Dave and I are both right handed, and so are the rest of our kids. Dave's parents are both left handed, and my mother is ambidextrous (I think her preferred hand is left). Is it genetic? I know that years and years ago they thought it was wrong to write with your left hand so in school they trained the kids to use their right hand.
I just thought it was interesting.
good things:
Mariah's cute little letters
embracing differences
a great sleep last night
beautiful cool weather in the morning and evening

LOL! That reminds me of a story about Foster. When he was younger he was ambidextrous too. One night in the car we were talking about what "handed" we all were and Foster says "I'm anorexic!". LOL! What a cutie. That's awesome that Mariah can do that. I hope she can keep it up! Eventually people usually choose a hand and stick with it.
My brother wanted to be left handed but my Dad would not let him! Everytime he would pick something up with his left hand my Dad would remove it and put it in his right. LOL!! By the way my Mom is left handed.
That's too funny. Tank is a lefty but he does some things right handed because no one here is a lefty. That's funny that both Dave's parents are lefties.
Dallin seems to be that way too...although he is favoring his left hand for writing so, I have one boy like me so far :) Lefties are more creative,...we're in our right mind :) lol... it is genetic though, so she got it from somewhere. sometimes genes skip. :)
Yeah, I'm talking like I really know a ton... ha
We don't have any lefties, yet. But I always wished I was, my Dad could write so fast. It was horribly sloppy but it was so fast!
WHOA! I'm finally commenting! Sorry it took so long.
I'm happy to hear Mariah is learning her letters... no matter how she acheives it. She's so adorable. Didn't it take her like 3 years to speak? She sounded chinese or something! HA HA!
That's so interesting. Stephen is left handed and I'm right. I wonder what handed our kids would be??? Makes you wonder.
