Flashback Friday -- High School

A friend of mine from high school had this on his blog, and since I'm seriously the biggest tag nerd.... It's just such an easy way to flash back! I won't tag anyone, but I'd love to hear your thoughts and memories of high school. Everyone is so different!
I wish I knew how to scan pictures in because I have some great ones....but these pictures came from my parents.....

Sophomore Year -- see, I really did have red hair!!

Senior Year

Some of my best best friends (seminary council 1993) Can you find me? I still keep in touch with almost all of these guys (Don't you love all the BANGS and collared dresses - the 90's ROCK!!)

Graduation 1993 West Jordan High School

HIGH SCHOOL TAG!

1. Did you date someone from high school? Sophomore & Junior Year - David McDonough (he has twins now!) Senior Year - Jacob Schmidt (on my blog list - he has triplets now!!). 2 really good guys - great boyfriends!

2. What kind of car did you drive? I was lucky enough to get to borrow our big blue van sometimes (It was actually great because we'd pile 20 or so kids in there and go have fun!)! I did get to borrow my dad's truck (stick shift -- I still cringe to think of the gears grinding), and our Toyota 4-runner also. My best friends didn't like to drive with me because I was CRAZY! I was always totally speeding and doing doughnuts in the snow (and hitting trees and mailboxes). My kids are sooo NOT going to ever drive!

3. What was the most embarrassing moment of HS? You cannot tease me about this --- Sophomore year I was in a co-ed gym class and was running late. I got dressed in my gym clothes and ran out (walking right in front of the boy side of the gym) without my shorts on AHHHHHHH! A very sweet friend rushed me out to get them on!

4. Were you a party animal? Yep - in a good way though. I had such GREAT friends!

5. Were you considered a flirt? Yep! Have you met Akayla? She is me only younger!!

6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Orchestra - viola (too bad it was terrible - Mormon Youth Symphony was AWESOME though!!)

7. Were you a nerd? Nope

8. Were you on any varsity teams? No - so not athletic!

9. Did you get suspended/expelled? Never

10. Can you still sing the fight song? Nope - I don't think I knew it then

11. Who were your favorite teachers? I could tell you my least favorite teacher....but I won't!

12. Where did you sit during lunch? I think we all just hung out in the commons. I don't remember going off-campus very often ????

13. School mascot? Jaguar

14. Did you go to homecoming, and with who? Junior Year with Dave McDonough, Senior year with John Findlay

15. If you could go back and do it again, would you? No, but I enjoyed high school and I have great memories!

16. What do you remember most about graduation? Crying a lot because I thought I'd never see my friends again

17. Where did you go on your senior trip? We stayed at a condo in St. George

18. Were you in any clubs? Drama, FHA, FBLA, seminary council

19. Have you gained some weight since then? Ummm...I was like a size 3! I have gained and lost and gained again 7 times so far!

20. Who was your prom date? Junior year - Dave McDonough, Senior Year - Jacob Schmidt

21. Good grades? In my favorite classes, yes. But overall - NO! I was in it for the social aspect - I have since learned better!

22. Did you ever ditch? I didn't technically ditch....I would "sleep in" and have my mom write a note, then I would hang out until the end of the day and rush in to check in. That way I was excused but I could miss tests or boring classes! My kids will never get away with anything because I pulled it ALL!!

23. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? I did and it was fun! People haven't changed that much! In 5 more years we can have a 20 year reunion - it will be fun to see everyone then!

That is so fun. I love the pictures of you in the "90's". I did the collared dresses and bangs in jr. high but they were there! I love to think back to HS days because they were really fun.

You were such a great cousin to help me feel so important. I remember these pictures so well. I also remember the boy friends, the symphony and some of the other funny things! You are darling!

some people have horrible high schoole pics. You look beautiful! It's no wonder your kids are so stinkin' cute! I miss you all. When are you coming to visit next? Let us know. Love ya.

Ayrial... it just runs in the family. Sorry. (J/K!)
This is a great post. I want to do this too. I'm practically the same as you were, back then.
Carissa says that when you graduate, you usually keep the same style, and you listen to the same songs, watch the same genres of movies, etc.
I don't think that goes the same for me. Carissa says I have a much better knowledge of variety than most people.

By the way Ang, I wasn't talking about you when I said usually most people stay the same when they graduate- I think you've evolved very nicely. UGH! I don't know how to say this without offending anyone! Just forget I said anything.

LOL! Genelle, you are silly. That was fun to read, Ang. I agree with Ayrial, you have the best high school photos. Mine are terrible. Whenever I listen to Peter Cetera I think of you in high school. Weird, huh? I totally idolized you! I wanted to be friends with your friends... you were so nice to me and I was a total pest! Hehehehe... Good times. I think I had more fun while YOU were in high school than I did when I was in high school!

Ang, what a fun post. I want to do this post, that would be so much fun! I didn't know you were so rebelious either, in yet for some reason it doesn't completly surprise me! :) Interesting.

So to be honest i thought there would be way worse 80's hair and such but the pics aren't that bad. You actually look really cute i them and the graduation one could almost be in today's settings : )

just so you don't think I think you are super old 80's or 90's hair could have been scary. I just know you like the 80's so much. I remember the 90's and well I wore some pretty "cool" stuff. Hey does anyone remember MC hammer pants?

You look so cute! Gotta love those 90s.
Hi Tamara! (It is weird, I actually met Tamara in the 90's shortly after she graduated.)

Hi Ang. I know this is a little late, but I just noticed you asked me a question on The Cox blog about the collage. (I don't have your email, or I would have just emailed you) Go to photoscape.org and get the free download. It is a small download, and easy to use. I hardly ever download anything, because it slows down my computer, and other reasons, but this one is well worth it.
