pto

I got a phone call a few years ago from a good friend.

The pto at our school needed a treasurer and since I had 5 kids in the school they figured I was perfect for the job.

It was actually a lot of fun being on the pto and I enjoyed being a part of things at the school.

I decided to be the vp for the next couple of years and they put me in charge of the Halloween carnival.

I actually really enjoy being in charge of things - as long as I can kind of hide in the background while it goes on.

I don't like being the center of attention and I don't like having lots of people look at me.

Well at the end of last year our pto president's term was up.

The way our by-laws are set up someone who is already on the pto board must be the president.

Noone else was able (willing is a better word) to be the president this year.

So guess who is the new pto president?

Yep, it's the dummy over here (hugely pregnant with her 9th baby) that can't say no.

I'm still in charge of the fall carnival, but this year I decided to do it before the baby came.

It's tomorrow and I'm so glad it will be done.

It's caused a fair amount of stress over here.

I really need to learn how to delegate a little bit better!

good things:
still warm but feeling like fall

it's FRIDAY and I'm ready to play....or at least sit in a comfy chair and watch a movie with something yummy to eat!

a visit with a chiropractor yesterday - now I can walk again!

Good luck with the carnival. I'm sure that with you're creative brain it will be tons of fun. You are amazing!

On a different note, If you haven't already tried it... the Tonic Tutor website is having a month of free access. It's been nice to let my students try something different during lab for a change without me having to do much planning. They can access it from home too.

I don't know how you fit it all in.....honestly. I learned how to say no a few years ago, it's not an easy thing to do. Good luck with that :)
