deck

Isn't that a beautiful view -- nice pictures Akayla!
Our yard has been a 3 year project already...........and there's still so much more to do! When you don't have much money you do it all yourself and when you don't have much time it seems to take forever! We also have an interesting yard because we are on a hill and our back yard is in 2 levels.....we have several retaining walls that we have been working on. We are finally getting our deck done though (thanks to tax returns), and we are getting so excited! The wooden part is being stained black (still working on that) and the bottom (that you stand on) and top of the railing is Trex (composite wood - less slivers!). Dave had a 3-day weekend because of Memorial Day and even though it's raining and cold out there today he's out there finishing it up! Now that the railing is up I feel much safer walking out there. I'm so excited to sit out there in the evenings (which are GORGEOUS here - we never have bugs and it's always nice and cool). I'll put up some more pictures when it's finished!! Now for the rest of the yard...............hopefully we'll get a lot more of it done this summer!

good things:
a day off
owning a home
our own yard to mow and take care of

YES! I'm so looking forward to coming up there now. It seems like there's no other place to escape for 5 minutes when things get hectic! J/K!
Anyway, I'm sure it'll be a great view.
YAY DAVE!

It is really a blessing that Dave is so good at carpentry and wood working. He'll make a beautiful deck which will add to your home. Great work today! Mom

isn't it great but sad at the same time that on your day off you just work. Love the deck. We have one now that I am living with my inlaws...

I'm sure it's very exciting to be getting so close to finishing your yard. It's so time consuming, and expensive. I want to see more pictures. I think I'm going to blog about my yard. We've almost finished as well. Yay for having our own yards!!! Love it!
