My cute cousin Jen did this post today and tagged me. It looked like fun so I got right on it. I didn't do it in the same order. I'm just going with the way the pictures ended up.
I can totally relate to Jen's thoughts about coveting other bigger houses. I would love bigger bedrooms and bigger family areas, and I sometimes find myself looking at what other's have and feeling envious, but then I remember that "happiness is wanting what you have, not having what you want". I am so grateful to have a home all my own to clean and take care of!
Luckily I had just done a lot of my cleaning so I won't be too embarrassed, but here's to keeping things real..........1. What are your favorite shoes? These are my lovely brown Skechers that are so comfy. I really love them. When they die I will definitely buy another pair just like them!
2. Laundry room. I do love my front loading machines. This is not my favorite room in my house - I don't enjoy laundry! We end up keeping a lot things in here like costumes, blankets, & sleeping bags, etc.
3. Take a picture of your fridge: Pretty full for now.....we even have a fridge in our garage that has food in it. I only go shopping every 2-3 weeks, so it will be very empty in a week or so.
4. My kitchen sink with my egg pan in it. Nothing fancy! I do like my window above my sink so I can watch my kids play outside while I do dishes. 5. One of the bathrooms in our house. Again, nothing fancy. I'm a pretty simple person. I love having tile in bathrooms, especially in the shower! 6. What my kids are doing right now: Akayla, Corina, Tanner, Adriana, & Annalisa are at school. Mariah and Elli have our cute little neighbor Gracie over to play. They were playing outside for awhile and they decided to come in just in time to take a picture. 7. My side of the closet. I'm really keeping it real here - I could have cleaned it all up and made it look presentable, but this is what it looks like right now. Dave's side is much more organized than mine. Oh well! 8. Favorite room in my house: Too hard to choose - I have several........This is my kitchen. I love my double oven. I love the colors in my kitchen. I love my knotty alder cabinets. I love my Italian theme. I love that it's a bright, sunny, happy room! I should have showed the other parts of the room, but you get the idea..... I love this spot in our family room...... our couch may not be pretty, but it is very comfortable. I love my books, and I love having them right next to my couch so I can cozy up with a good book or I can grab my kids and their piles of books and we can read together. Our CD player is right next to the couch also and it is connected to a speaker in every room of the house. I love to turn on some of my favorite music while I read. This used to be our homeschooling space, but now it is my music studio. I totally love having all my stuff in one spot. The bookcase has music for my students to "check" out for sight reading or other things. I have all my supplies and group lesson activities close by. I also love having my electric piano right there with head phones so I can keep siblings of the student I am teaching busy and they won't interrupt our lesson. With 26 students, I have to keep things running smoothly!!
This is the other side of my music studio room where my students do their computer lab or work on theory assignments. Dave finished our basement for us and I think he was a genius to put in this whole space for me! I also love that it's in our walk-out basement so I can go straight to my backyard through that door.

Yay! I'll do this. I have some cleaning to do though. I think your kitchen is my favorite room in the house too. Either that or the Theater room. You're such a great homemaker Ang!
P.S. Your new system is working out as well as it should. I did a new post today, and it's not showing up!
It's showing now, Genelle. Anyway, I love the pictures of your house. I didn't know you changed your family room. How did you get the piano downstairs? I like it!
Did mine!!!
Your house is very clean - I have to say - especially looking at mine - considering it is just me for now, it is very BAD!!! Cleanest thing is my fridge though. :-) Just cleaned it today since it was very empty. Kind of got out of havbit of filling it up!
Chimge - you should do this tag. I want to see your house too! It is fun to see how other people decorate!
Keeping it real huh? I will have to do that...umm....when? not sure but I'll do that... keep checking my site :)
great job! I love the red sofa the kids are sitting on. I love to see your home. One of these times we'll have to come see ya. Thanks for playing along.
This is great. So fun to see your home. It's darling!
Thanks for the tour. I feel like I've been there now. I am all for keeping it real... but I am probably to lazy- well, busy, to take photos everywhere.
