I HEART HALLOWEEN!

Halloween has always been a favorite holiday (except for the brief stint when we had tiny kids and we would turn off all of our lights and go hide downstairs to watch our traditional Halloween movie!). I have always loved getting dressed up and I loved all the fun things my mom did to make Halloween fun (like "spook"ghetti!). We are not big house decorators, but this year we did something really cool.....watch the video (pause the playlist first though -- you'll want to hear it to get the full effect!). We got TONS of comments -- it was a big hit!! This is the front of our house............

We brought the kids to the trunk-or-treat at the church, then Akayla got to go to a Halloween party (she's too old for trick-or-treating!). The other kids went around until they couldn't hold any more candy in their bags! Mariah didn't go for long because it was sprinkling and she has a deathly fear of rain....?????Corina - bride (in my HS Sweethearts dress & my veil!)
Annalisa - french maid
Akayla - a teenager ready for a party
Adriana - gypsy
Elli - pumpkin ??
Mariah - cowgirl (yes Genelle - that is YOUR old costume that ALL of my girls have worn now!)
Tanner - army dude

For the past 14 years our Halloween tradition has been............eating pizza while we watch "The Ghost & Mr. Chicken (with Don Knotts - the BEST Halloween movie EVER!!!).

CHOCOLATE FACE - Signs of a great Halloween!
good things:
spooky music & decorations
dressing up
kids who save their candy ALL year!
kids who eat all their candy in 2 days!!

I love it. That is really cool what you did to the house. I love taking the kids trick-or-treating to see them running around and being all excited. The kids look great! I love the chocolate face!

We haven't seen The Ghost & Mr. Chicken. Looks like a fun movie. Were suckers for old classic comedy's. All the kids looked so darn cute!

I love that movie!!! It has been forever since I saw it. I will hjave to go find it and have the girls watch it. Way cute kids!! I wish our ward would do something. But I will just whisper that before I get put on the activities committee. In Primary Pres. I think I'm safe. maybe

Fun but you never said what Dave "Brother Ferrara" dressed up as.

Yeah, I agree with Aaron. I wanted to know what Dave dressed as... Genelle had to watch "Ghost of Mr. Chicken" too. I think she wants to be part of your family tradition ;)

P.S. Ellie looks a little like Genelle. Do you see the resemblemce? Maybe a little like Julie too, when she was a baby.

That's awesome! I want to borrow that thing! It's so cool! Sounds like a great Halloween. I had great Halloweens too, until all that candy caught up with me and Mom decided that she's probably wasting too much fabric on me.
