Nana & Grandpa-with-a-beard

Dave's wonderful parents!

the Ferrara men - dad, Matt, Jim, and Dave

wii bowling - can you tell the wii is in my music room?

The last time we saw Dave's parents was when his little brother got married in August 2007. They live in Illinois and it's way too hard (and expensive) right now to get 9 people across the country. We were so excited to hear that they would be coming out for a visit.

They got here just before I had to pick the kids up from school so we decided to surprise them (the kids thought they weren't coming until the evening). When we got to the school I hopped in the backseat and let them drive in. Akayla was the first one to see them and she came running (and crying) over. She has especially missed them and has been so anxious to spend time with them. Everyone was surprised and so happy!

The kids were in school and we still had our crazy schedule for the first few days, but we had a 4-day weekend and we loved being with them.

They went to all the dance, basketball, and music practices and performances that they always miss out on. We loved playing the wii and other board games, and of course watching movies and eating yummy food!

We had a sweet family home evening the night before they left. It was so good for my kids to be with them, and of course Dave and I enjoyed it too. They are great people, and we hate living so far away from them!!

It better not be another 2 1/2 years before we see them again!!!!

good things:
my great in-laws

Jen & Beth (they know why :D)

forever families
