May......

I LOVE May!

It is crazy busy, but it's beautiful outside and it feels like things (school) are coming to an end so it feels like a great month!

It's only the middle of the month but we have done sooooooo much already! Of course I didn't use my camera for anything. I brought it a few times, but I always forget to actually use it. Bug!

Here's a list of the things I remember doing so far......

*Akayla's piano recital

*Corina's orchestra concert

*Tanner's band concert

*Dad finishing a very challenging semester for his masters -- now a whole month off before summer semester starts!

*Leandra slept through the night twice - and then stopped!! It was nice while it lasted!

*2 orchestra concerts for Akayla

*Skate Night with the Academy for Adri, Anna & Mars -- the whole family came except Tanner who was on his scout campout

*PTO meetings

*Mother's Day and Uncle Matt's birthday party

*Several birthday parties

*Corina's youth symphony concert

*Akayla's musicians west (piano competition) -- She made it as a finalist out of 100 students and gets $250 for piano institute this summer

*Tanner's court of honor.....got his 2nd class in boy scouts

*Summer Strings meetings for mom

*Mariah moved back upstairs with Elli and Annalisa moved back downstairs with Adri -- we'll see how it goes!

*Mom refinishing furniture -- LOVE IT! I will have to post pictures

*Tanner's scout campout & Jamboral

*Dave's sister Jen came for a visit -- LOVE HER!

*Akayla's clogging competition -- nationals next week

*Annalisa's lost tooth

*Adriana's field trip to Massacre Rocks

*Corina's cello honor clinic

*Stake conference - got to hear the prophet speak to us

*Adriana and Annalisa preparing for piano duet recital

*Phone problems - back and forth to Verizon

*Akayla's clogging recital

*Yard work -- dug 8" down to pour cement pad for a MOTOR HOME!!!

*Planted our garden

*Traditional pretzel making after Stake conference - YUM!

*Adriana's rocket blast-off in 4th grade

*ISAT testing

*Annalisa's first sleepover (here at our house) with friend Taylor -- silly girls stayed up late and put makeup on sleeping sister's faces

*Mariah's "parties" every Saturday night (she sends us all invitations and sets up a fancy tea party, then we play games and watch a movie -- she is SO sweet!)

*Elli sneaking off to the Morrisseys every spare second to play with Evie

*Leandra reaching 13 pounds and 3 months old -- she's getting HUGE!!

And that's only the extra stuff - I won't mention the 20,000 loads of laundry, the 500 million dishes, the hundreds of hours of practicing, the dozens of music lessons and dance practices every day, the hundreds of scraped knees and little arguments or the bazillions of other day-to-day things we have gotten done!!

It's been a great month so far - maybe I'll get the camera out for the next half of the month!!

good things:
long walks in the sun
cinnamon sugar pretzels
school's almost out!

Wow that is a long list! I'm so happy for Akayla winning the piano scholarship. What a neat opportunity! Sorry I forgot to bring you the piano pins today. I look forward to seeing your furniture makeovers.
