Forgotten Carols

If you've never seen (or heard the music from) The Forgotten Carols you are really missing out.

I've been crazy about it for about 20 years now.
Hard to believe it's been that long.

Last year Akayla and Corina had to watch a musical production for choir and write a report on it.
They had procrastinated and had only a few days left before the end of the trimester.

We were lucky enough to discover that Marsh Valley was doing their annual production of the Forgotten Carols that weekend and it was even free.

It was a beautiful production.....nearly as good as the one starring Michael McLean (the writer and composer).

Akayla and Corina fell in love with it also, so this year when they were asked to come and play in the orchestra they were more than willing to sacrifice several days to rehearse many hours.

The night of the first performance I brought Tanner, Adri, Anna, and Mars with me to watch it.

They loved it of course and I often hear them singing their favorite songs from that night.

This is for sure a new Ferrara family Christmas tradition!

As we drove home that night it started snowing and we saw the "Season's Greetings" sign all lit up.

It's officially Christmas time!!

good things:
crying happy tears
one day of school left
kids that love the same things I do
