thoughts on Jesus Christ

I'm not a good writer.
I have a lot of difficulty expressing my feelings.
But I can express myself through music.

Tonight I played in the Messiah with my 2 lovely daughters.

I know it's hard for some people to listen to, and it might be for me also, but I love playing it.

It speaks to my soul, and it's a way for me to honor Jesus Christ.

This afternoon we had a little blow-out at the Ferrara house.

It was ugly......unkind words and raising voices is always ugly.

It felt bad because whenever the spirit leaves it feels wrong.

We strive to always have the holy spirit in our home - with our words, actions, the music we listen to, and the movies we watch.

But the spirit doesn't want to be around when people are not being nice.

When it was over we gathered our not-so-little-family around and we prayed.
We asked for forgiveness.
We spoke words of love and repentance towards each other.
There was warmth and happiness surrounding us again.
Because of the Savior.
Jesus Christ can mend the broken heart and heal all wounds.

I believe in the atonement.
I believe with all of my heart that He saves us.
Because of the Messiah my family can feel that love and peace here in our home, but we will also feel it forever with Him.

Hallelujah!
Jesus Christ was born..........He lived, and He lives!!

good things:
telling my children stories about their grandparents
remembering
Russian tea-cakes like my grandma used to make

Wonderful words of wisdom! Life is so much more peaceful and pleasant when the spirit is present!
