I didn't believe her.
This year she asked one of her teachers if she could move closer so she could see the board, but the teacher embarrassed her in front of the class.
I decided I better get her in for an eye exam.
Imagine my surprise when the doctor told me she is extremely near sighted and really needs glasses!
We picked up Adri's new glasses yesterday and she told me she could see details she never had seen before as we drove.
That makes me sad and happy!!!
I hope her teacher feels REALLY bad!!
A few weeks ago Adri's best friend invited her to join a theater/dance/singing class with her twice a week.
It's right up her alley.
They put on a few productions a year...... they are working on Thoroughly Modern Millie, and after that they're doing the Music Man.
She LOVES it!!
She has also been having fun experimenting in the kitchen lately.
She made us a yummy treat yesterday for family night.
She put butter on 1 side of bread and nutella on the other side.....then put 2 pieces together (with the nutella in the middle).
Then she stuck them in the panini maker.
Wow!
If you like chocolate as much as we do you really should try it!!
Since we're only having treats once a week now we have to make our treats REALLY yummy!
good things:
*new coats that actually zip for our youngest 4 girls
*watching fascinating National Geographic specials
*Dave fixed my disposal, oven and suburban speakers on Saturday!

I'm so glad Audri can see now :) I remember when I got my first glasses and was seeing the same details hahaha...it's amazing the things we miss when we can't see detail :) She looks great in her new glasses!
Dear Adri: You have officially been bit by the performing bug! HOORAY!
I am not surprised since performing and music run in your blood, but this BUG now has a permanent place in your bloodstream. He will get hungry every now and then, forcing you to feed it with putting yourself through auditions and sometimes torturous rehearsals just to get that thrill of being on stage and that one brilliant moment that makes the BUG deliriously happy.
You are just at the right age. This is perfect. My interest in theatre started about this age, and I really regret allowing teen insecurities get in the way of what I was really good at.
Because of this, I have have an insatiable desire to pass on what I feel and know and discovered over the years. I have numerous friends and family who have made various performing choices over the years -- everything from full-time professional actor to a happy part-time career in 2-3 shows a year to some who do nothing for years. Through observation and personal experience, I have a wealth to pass on.
Though I have never met you in person, please know that I am here for you anytime you need a pick-me-up, a word of encouragement, some enlightenment on what happens on the other side of the audition table, etc. This is an open-ended invitation for the rest of your life.
Sometimes you just want to know. I have been on both sides of the table so I can pass on what I wish someone would have told me when I needed it the most.
Your mom knows how to get a hold of me when you need me. LOVE YOU! And break a leg!
