anniversary

I got married when I was 18.

I would kill my daughters if they did that (actually, if they found someone as amazing as their dad - and they really prayed hard about it I wouldn't exactly kill them), but it was exactly what I was supposed to do.

I found my prince charming, and he wasn't going to wait around for me to get older.

I have no regrets about the choice I made.

Every year with him gets better and better.

He surprised me with a getaway trip (in our motor home) to Rexburg - our town.

I know Rexburg probably doesn't sound so great to anyone else, but my husband is a true romantic.

We met and fell in love in Rexburg.

We walked around some of our old stomping grounds, including "the gardens".

We held hands and talked and reminisced a lot.

We ate delicious food and watched a movie.

Then he played a movie he made of the day we were married.

We both cried.

I would say the day we were married was the best day of my life, but it wasn't.
It was just the start to an eternity of best days with the guy I get to be with forever!

We cuddled as we slept (just like we do at home), and we woke up late (nobody to wake us up in the morning).

We went out to breakfast, and then we went to the temple.

We were able to remember some of the promises we made to each other when we were married.

Then we ate lunch and did a little shopping.

It was a lovely weekend.

When we pulled back into our driveway Dave leaned over to me and kissed my cheek.
He said "I love being with you!"

I feel the same way, my dear.
There's no-one I'd rather spend my time with!

good things:
knowing my kids are well taken care of at home
my romantic husband
married for 18 years
