favorite......

My favorite movie of all time....

(at least today)
Secondhand Lions
I have seriously seen it like 50 times and every time I watch it
I laugh really hard
and I cry at the end

My favorite parts:
when they plant a garden (and they all have matching "farmer" clothes)
and they end up planting only corn!!!
then their lion comes so they quickly go change into their "safari" clothes

If you've never seen it - you're in for a treat!
If you haven't watched it in awhile - go watch it!

and yes, I know there are swear words
we usually edit them all out.....
but they are so fitting in this movie!!
so if it offends you I'm sorry - don't watch it!

good things:
english muffins toasted, buttered, and smothered with vanilla yogurt and strawberries

finding $5 in my pocket

Thanks for the movie recommendation. We'll have to make that our next date night- I've never seen it.
I'm so glad Leandra slept through the night for you... my days and nights of exhaustion are coming really soon. I'm amazed at how much you accomplish with a new baby. It makes me think of Elder Eyring's talk from priesthood session I read this morning. He said "When I find myself drawn away from my priesthood duties by other interests and when my body begs for rest, I give to my self this rallying cry: "Remember Him" " ...I remember whenever I am tempted to feel that I have finished some hard task in His service and deserve a rest. The Savior's example gives me courage to press on." This made me think of some of the sacrifices of motherhood.

Oh!!! I love that movie. My dad got it for all of us the year he left and at first I had to desire to watch it but James put it on one night and I have loved it ever since! It's such a good one! I may just have to watch it tonight!!!!
