laundry

Laundry is my least favorite chore.
I would much rather scrub toilets, change poopy diapers, or even clean up throw up than do the laundry.

One big problem with having 9 children (when you're a laundry hater) -- there is always mounds of laundry to do.
I do at least 3 loads of laundry a day or I get behind.

This is what happens when I take a break from laundry for a couple days................

The positive side:  I get to watch a sappy movie (Letters to Juliet) while I fold by myself in my room.

Know any other way to help me enjoy doing laundry a little more?

good things:
working together in the garden
watching a super funny movie after family night
when plans work out the way you hoped

I don't know if this would work and you have most likely tried this, but my mom used to just sort out(or have us come sort our own) our things and put them in our room and make us responsible to fold them and put them away ourselves. You have to be okay with it not getting done in some cases which I know is super hard...but it will help with your load :).

I was listening to a feature on household robots on NPR. They said they're working on these robots to accomplish simple tasks like setting the table, clearing dishes from the table, and folding laundry.

We hate laundry at our house and create way too much for just three people. So I thought, "Hey, we would LOVE a laundry-folding robot."

Sounds like if anyone would NEED one, it'd be you guys. Totally.

I'm just excited that we are moving to an apartment with a washer and dryer INSIDE the apartment, and not coin-operated, for the first time in our 8.5 years of marriage. Two weeks, baby. Two weeks away.

I did all of my own laundry at the age of ten (out of necessity)... that means you could have at least four of the kids do their own right? Plus, you can justify it by telling them you are teaching them important skills for college. I was amazed when my roommates didn't know how to do laundry... or when they burned mac and cheese! :) You are a great mom Ang!

The only reason your crazy..is vomit is way worse then laundry..especially since it tends to make way more laundry. I'm not talking about baby puke..but full on stomach flu..nope nope nope...please please please give me 10 loads of laundry instead of stomach flu running amok thru my house!

No Advice
My Laundry Never gets folded and put away..I'm pathetic..I have hampers in my room with the kids clean clothing, that we just pick out of.

Love ya
