Nauvoo

After spending a couple days at Tom & Beth's house we drove a couple hours closer to home to see Nauvoo.

Nauvoo is a beautiful chance to step back in time.

I was surprised my kids loved it so much - it was one of their top favorite things we did on our trip.

We were there just in time for the Nauvoo pageant.

They had pioneer activities for the kids to do for a couple of hours before the pageant started, and then we set up blankets on a hill and watched the pageant.

Landon & Lea were playing in the dirt and wanting to run around at the beginning, but they quickly fell asleep and let us enjoy the rest of the show!

We camped at the Nauvoo state park and then went around the town learning how they made bricks and horseshoes, we ate cookies at the bakery, and enjoyed a lovely walk around the temple.

How fun! That's one of my few dream trip destinations.
